A Brief History of Unitarianism
Beginning in Europe in the 1500s, Unitarians and Universalists had definite theologies. Eventually, the two merged in 1961. UUs have evolved until today you do not need to check your beliefs at the door. We try to learn from all religions and philosophies. UUs were against slavery and supported women's right to vote and gay rights back when those ideas were unpopular. There have been—and still are—many well known Unitarians.
